Domoney and Queens sweep Kodiaks in Lethbridge

Lethbridge, AB - Red Deer Polytechnic Queens libero Kaylee Domoney had a solid start to the season, helping to lead her team to a three set victory (25-14, 25-23 and 26-24) over the Lethbridge College Kodiaks.

Kaylee Domoney, who was named the Queens Player of the Game, recorded seven digs and one assist. First-year setter Danielle Wiens had 25 assists, four digs, one ace, and one kill in the road win. 

Red Deer's Jaiden Ferguson, a Business Administration General student, led the RDP offence with 12 kills. She added five digs, one stuff block, and one ace.

Tess Pearman contributed seven kills. Middles McKenna Olson and Sydney Rix had four kills each.

Eryka Woods was named the Kodiaks Player of the Game. She accumulated six kills, two stuff blocks, and one dig. Jamie Brown led Lethbridge College with 10 kills. 

The Queens had seven service aces and the Kodiaks picked up three.

The Red Deer Polytechnic Queens (1-0) will challenge the Lethbridge College Kodiaks (0-1) on Sunday, November 14 at 5 pm at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre.
