Carlson and Queens go 3-0 with three set win over Broncos

Olds, AB – With a balanced attack from the outside and middle, the Red Deer Polytechnic Queens swept the Olds College Broncos (25-15, 25-9, 25-15).

Setter Emma Letkeman (26 assists) successfully connected with outside hitter Anna Carlson (10 kills) the most.

Jadyn Leong had a strong all around game with nine kills and 15 digs. Outside hitter Jaiden Ferguson picked up six kills, 10 digs, two stuff blocks and two assists for the Queens. 

RDP middles McKenna Olson (five kills) and Sydney Rix (three kills) made significant contributions at the net.

Anna Carlson was recognized as the Queens Player of the Match. Francesca Sandini received the award for the Broncos, totaling five digs and one kill.

Broncos' Samantha Laboucan led her team's offence with four kills. Tabitha Martin and Searra Schoepfner contributed three kills apiece. 

Jaiden Ferguson had two of the Queens' five service aces. Searra Schoepfner recorded the lone ace for Olds College. 

The Red Deer Polytechnic Queens (3-0) will play the Olds College Broncos (2-1) on Saturday, November 20 at 8 pm at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre.
