RDP Queens remain undefeated with road win over Lions

Calgary, AB - The Red Deer Polytechnic Queens' service pressure and offensive weapons were too much for the Ambrose University Lions.

The Queens recorded 13 service aces and received double-digit kill performances from Anna Carlson (11), Tess Pearman (11), and Jadyn Leong (10) en route to a four set victory (25-20, 22-25, 25-15, and 25-23).

Libero Kaylee Domoney was rock solid defensively, accumulating 11 digs for the Polytechnic. 

Victoria's Emma Letkeman (22 assists) and Regina's Danielle Wiens (13 assists) shared the Queens setter duties.

Tess Pearman and Emma Letkeman led Red Deer Polytechnic from the service line with three aces each. The Lions had four aces as a group. 

Madeline Williscroft powered the Lions offence with 14 kills. Setter Lexi Herrod had 30 assists. 

Loos (2)

Queens Player of the Game Vanessa Loos, a Bachelor of Arts Psychology student, contributed three digs and two aces. Brooklyn Deol's nine kills and four blocks earned the five-foot-11 middle the Lions Player of the Game.

The undefeated Queens (9-0) and Lions (5-4) will meet at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre on Saturday, January 22 at 8 pm.
